ADDITIONAL FAQs

Tennessee law permits a defendant to secure a bail bond which “sufficient” sureties, which may be a professional bail bondsman. The advantage of the surety bond is that the defendant does not need to come up with the full amount of bail; rather, he/she must only pay the premium and any additional fees.

In Tennessee, there are four different types of bail available, surety bonds, property bonds, cash bonds and release on recognizance. Bail can be adjusted to fit the charges against you, as well as your particular financial situation. Most people do not have that kind of cash available to them on such short notice, which is where we help you.

Bail & Rescue will secure your bail bond for a reasonable 10% premium or subject to a 15% if you are out of state or have no Tennessee (ID/Driver's license). We make posting a bail bond a very simple process: Once we have the signed contract, we provide the court with a bail bond.

The bail bond and contract together guarantee the accused person and/or (defendant) will appear in court as required by law. We make posting a bail bond a very simple process: Once we have the signed contract, we provide the court with a bail bond.

After the legal process is completed and the defendant has met all conditions of the bail bond (which usually means having appeared in court every time it was required), the bail bond is discharged.

*If you do not meet all the conditions* of the bail bond (e.g., you fail to show up in court for a scheduled appearance), the bail bond is forfeited and the Bail & Rescue agency may use the collateral you provided to pay the court what is owed on the bail.
